Curriculum

In 2013 Modbury South Primary School is teaching with the Australian Curriculum in English, mathematics, science and history. The SACSA Framework remains the reference point for learning and teaching in the other areas of the curriculum until they become part of the Australian Curriculum. We are passionate educators including 21st Century learning in all that we do.

Students learn the following:

  • Arts: dance, drama, visual arts, media studies, music
  • Design & Technology
  • English
  • Health and PE which is taught by a specialist teacher
  • Humanities and Social Sciences: History, Geography and Civics and Citizenship
  • Languages - Japanese specialist teacher
  • Mathematics
  • Science

Specialist programs at our school also include:

  • SAPSASA Sport - (cricket, netball, soccer, football, basketball)

International Competitions are offered in Mathematics, Science, Computing Skills, English, Spelling and Writing.
